Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UPCPMT 2015) is a State Level Entrance Examination conducted by Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University for the admission to Medical Courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS and BUMS
The examination is conducted for the admission to various government colleges of Uttar Pradesh. This Examination will be held on 24th May 2015
The courses being offered for admissions are:
i) MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)
ii) BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
iii) BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery
iv) BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
v) BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)
Courses in various Govt. and recognized/approved Medical/Dental / Homeopathic /Ayurvedic / Unani Colleges of Uttar Pradesh
There are approximately 800 to 850 seats available for all the above said medical courses in UPCPMT affiliated colleges. Out of these 35 are paid seats, these being the management seats. The colleges who are not affiliated to the UPCPMT can also allot admissions on the basis of UPCPMT score card
For easily availing admission, the candidates must strive to get a rank below 1000. The reservation quota also applies for these mentioned seats
Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT) 2015 is a state level examination. Candidates, who are native of Uttar Pradesh, are eligible to apply
However, other state candidates may also apply, given they should fulfill the domicile criteria as laid by the government of Uttar Pradesh
Age: Aspiring candidates must completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st Dec 1998 of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year
a) The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Exam which is equivalent to 10+2 higher secondary exam after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of
Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research & Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education
Note: Where the course contents is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre‐professional training before admission to the Medical/Dental/Ayurvedic/ Homoeo‐pathic/Unani College; Or
b) The intermediate examination in science of an Indian University, Board or other recognized exam body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject; Or
c) The pre‐professional/pre‐medical exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre‐university of an equivalent exam shall include a practical test is Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology and also English as a compulsory subject; Or
d) The first year of the three years degree course of a recognized university, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a university Exam and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course; Or
e) B.Sc Exam of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc examination with not less than two of the following subjects in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-Technology and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying exam with the following subjects ‐ Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology and English; Or
f) Any other exam which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate science exam of an Indian University/Board taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology including a practical test in each of these subjects and English
The UPCPMT Vertical and UPCPMT Horizontal Reservation, as indicated below, is application on all the seats filled through Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT) in each Medical College for each subject / program
Vertical Reservation
i) Candidates belonging to scheduled castes (SC): 21%
ii) Candidates belonging to scheduled tribes (ST): 02%
iii) Candidates belonging to other backward classes (OBC): 27%
Horizontal Reservation: For SC/ST/OBC and General Categories
i) Dependent of freedom fighter (FF): 2%
ii) Son/Daughter Ex-serviceman (ES) (Handicapped in war/retired/martyrs): 02%
iii) Handicapped candidates (PH): 03%
iv) Women candidates (WC): 20%
v) B-Grading of Certificate NCC Candidate: 01%
