Opportunity for Graduates aspiring to join the banking sector, the apex banking institution of India Reserve Bank of India (RBI) invited applications for recruitment to the post for Assistant, for appointment in the various offices of RBI. The eligible Graduates can apply for 610 posts of Assistant through the prescribed format on or before 28 November 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for RBI Assistant Posts

Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:

Assistant: candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC. Or Ex serviceman with matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and should have rendered minimum 15 years of defence service. candidate should be proficient in the language of the State of posting. 

Age limit: candidate should be between 20 and 28 years of age (relaxation is allowed to the candidates of reserved category as per the government of India norms).

Selection Process for RBI Assistant Posts

Candidates will be selected through the three-phase recruitment process viz. Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination and Interview. 

Examination Scheme:

Preliminary Examination will consist of 100 questions from English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability the weight age of examination is 100 marks. The examination will be of 01-hour duration.

Candidates qualifying Preliminary examination will be called for Mains examination

Mains Examination will test the candidates Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. The RBI Mains exam will consist of 200 questions 01 mark each and will be of 02 hours duration.

There will be negative marking for both Preliminary and Mains examination, 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates qualifying both RBI Preliminary and RBI Mains Examination will be called for the interview before preparation of final merit list. Interview will carry weight-age of 25 marks.
